    How to create Duty Types

There are 5 different kinds of Duty Types available in Indecab. Let’s look at each on in detail below:

To create a new Duty Type click on Add duty type.

    1. HR-KM (Local)

Select this duty type if you would like to create a duty type based on hours and kilometers. With this, extra KM and extra HR will be automatically calculated once the usage crosses the set limit.

Hr-KM (Local) is most commonly used for local duties within a city.

    1.1 Duty Type Name:

Enter a name that helps you understand which package it is.

    1.2 Maximum Hours:

Enter the number of hours after which additional hours charge will be applied on the invoice.

    1.3 Maximum Kilometers:

Enter a kilometer limit after which additional kilometers charge will be applied on the invoice.

1.4 Limit this duty type to be selected only for these cities:

If this particular duty type should only be visible when a booking is created for a specific city you can select the city name here. If this duty type can be used for bookings in any city then keep this field empty.

    2.Day- KM (Outstation)

Select this duty type if you would like to create a duty type based on number of days and KM.

    2.1 Duty Type Name:

Enter a name that helps you understand what package it is.

    2.2 Maximum Kilometers per day:

Enter a maximum kilometer limit after which extra kilometer charge should be applied on the invoice.

    2.3 Apply outstation allowance always:

By selecting this when a duty is completed, outstation allowance for the driver will be applied to the duty based on the pricing entered for that customer.

2.4 Limit this duty type to be selected only for these cities:

If the particular duty type should only be visible while creating a booking for a specific city, you can enter those city names here. If you want this duty type to be available for use with bookings of any city then keep this empty.

    3. Long Duration - Total KM & Daily HR (Monthly bookings)

This duty type is to be used when you have monthly contracts with your customer where the total KM is calculated based on the usage in the entire month and the hours on a daily basis. Here extra kilometer charges would be calculated based on total kilometers assigned for use in a month and extra hours based on the daily hours limit set by you. You can also set the maximum number of days available for use in a month. If the vehicle is used for extra days then the system will automatically calculate the cost of the extra day while generating the invoice.

    3.1 Duty Type Name:

Enter a name that helps you understand what package this is.

    3.2 Maximum Hours Per Day:

The number of hours per day after which extra hour charges will be applied on the invoice.

    3.3 Total KM:

The maximum number of KMs available for use in a month. After this kilometer limit is crossed, extra kilometer charges will be applied on the invoice.

    3.4 Maximum Days:

The maximum number of days available for use after which extra duty days will be applied on the invoice.

3.5 Limit this duty type to be selected only for these cities:

If the particular duty type should only be visible while creating a booking for a specific city, you can enter those city names here. If you want this duty type to be available for use with bookings of any city then keep this empty.

4 - Long Duration - Total KM & HR (Monthly bookings)

This duty type can be used in the same way as the above monthly duty type. The difference being that extra hours would be calculated on crossing the total number of hours set for the entire month, and not on a daily usage hours limit. For example, if total hours is set as 300 then extra hours would be calculated after the monthly usage hours crosses 300 hours.

    4.1 Duty Type Name:

Enter a name that helps you understand what package this is.

    4.2 Total Hours:

Total number of hours available for the month. After this limit is crossed, extra hours charges will be applied on the invoice.

    4.3 Total KM:

Total maximum kilometers limit for the month. After this limit is crossed, extra kilometers charges will be applied on the invoice.

    4.4 Maximum Days:

The total number of days after which extra duty day charges will be applied on the invoice.

4.5 Limit this duty type to be selected only for these cities:

If the particular duty type should only be visible while creating a booking for a specific city, you can enter those city names here. If you want this duty type to be available for use with bookings of any city then keep this empty.

    5 - Flatrate

As the name suggests, you can use Flatrate when you want to create a duty type where no extras would be charged irrespective of the usage. For example, if you have a fixed rate for Airport Transfers or Pickups.

    Sub Types of Flat Rate:

There are 2 options here to choose from, Local and Airport. If you select Airport it will be compulsory to enter the Flight/Train number while creating a booking. By selecting Local, entering the Flight/Train number is optional.

5.1 Is Point to Point & Is Garage to Garage:

Any one of these columns should be selected if the particular duty type is going to be used to perform duties via the Indecab Go Driver App. Based on the selected column, the relevant calculation will be visible on the duty slip.

    5.2 Disable Duty Route Log:

Use this in case you would like to disable duty route log calculation when this duty type is selected.
